Most drivers call while they are stressed. The best thing you can do is slow the call down enough to give clear facts: where you are, what happened, what kind of vehicle you have, and where the vehicle should go if it needs to be moved.

Keep the call simple
Do not worry about using the perfect towing terms. Say what you see. "The car will not start," "the tire is flat," "I locked the keys inside," or "the car is on the shoulder" is enough to begin.
If you are calling for someone else, stay near your phone. The person helping may need the vehicle location, plate, color, or a safer pickup point. If traffic is close, safety matters more than taking photos or inspecting the car.
